What nutrients are we providing?
Complete fertilizers are most commonly applied and have the classic “# - # - #” (Example. 30-8-8) which stands for N – P – K and has three major nutrients, they are listed below. We also have micro nutrients in this fertilizer type.
(N) Nitrogen- Responsible for green growth and branch development, helping its shoots grow larger
(P) Phosphorus- Helps in the processing of all other nutrients into building blocks for plants and flowering
(K) Potassium- Helps in root growth which furthers its stability and food reserves (roots)
Incomplete fertilizers are used mostly for special situations that require specific amounts of certain fertilizer types to manipulate plant growth to their benefit.
